On June 17, 2024, Professor Liu Jun, Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Dianji University, led a team to investigate the Engineering Training Center of Jilin University. Liu Peng, Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Deputy Director of the Engineering Training Center, along with relevant teachers from the center, warmly welcomed Professor Liu Jun and his delegation.
Teacher Sun Shuai, the instructor, provided a detailed introduction to the characteristics of the new engineering practice teaching at the Engineering Training Center of Jilin University in recent years, including curriculum construction, development planning, integration of industry and education, and innovation and entrepreneurship education. Accompanied by the center's staff, Professor Liu Jun and his team visited the machining center, intelligent manufacturing, laser processing, 3D printing, liquid metal, competitive robotics, and multi-linkage teaching factory practice rooms in turn, fully recognizing the construction achievements of the center. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on equipment, curriculum construction, and innovative education.
Exchange promotes improvement, and mutual learning leads to joint development. The exchange and discussion with Shanghai Dianji University provided valuable experience for the development of our university's Engineering Training Center. It is hoped that both sides will strengthen cooperation in the future, learn from each other's strengths, work together, and jointly promote the high-quality development of engineering practice and innovative education.
