In order to enhance the comprehensive ability of college students in engineering training, with the joint cooperation of various departments in the Engineering Training Center, the comprehensive training courses of the Engineering Training Center have been fully launched. All 11 guidance teachers from 4 teaching modules of the Materials Forming Department have been involved in this comprehensive training course, providing comprehensive training and guidance services for more than 200 undergraduate students in the 2020 cohort.
Comprehensive training requires students to apply various craft skills they have learned, independently design works and craft cards under the guidance of various module instructors, and independently complete the operation of the entire work. The Material Forming Department can provide students with the most advanced instruments and equipment (laser cutting, laser welding, welding robots, 3D printing investment casting systems) and guidance teachers with decades of operational skills. Through the coordination of various modules such as welding, hot forging, casting, and industrial robots, it links with other training departments. Guidance teachers use online and offline synchronization to provide students with timely and effective problem answers and support for students to successfully complete comprehensive training.
With the efforts of the leaders and all guiding teachers of the Engineering Training Center, the comprehensive training processing tasks for the 2021-2022 academic year have been basically completed, laying a good foundation for the smooth implementation of the next student comprehensive training and contributing to the improvement of students' comprehensive training abilities.
