In order to fully implement the strategic deployment of the "Three Major Projects" of the 15th Party Congress of the school and welcome the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Engineering Training Center launched the first "New Journey of Engineering Practice Education - 'Building Dreams with Craftsmanship for a Strong Country'" series of activities. On the morning of November 2nd at 9:00 am, the second part of the series of activities, "Great Country Craftsmen Entering the Campus", was held in the recording classroom 707 of the Engineering Training Center. The theme of this lecture is "Adhering to the Heart of 'Made in China' and Practicing the Spirit of Craftsmanship '", and Yang Yongxiu, a "Great Nation Craftsman", is invited to give a report. Yang Yongxiu is currently a senior technician, senior engineer, senior lecturer, chief skill master of the group company, senior evaluator of vocational skills appraisal, excellent referee of the national vocational skills competition, and enjoys special government allowances from the State Council in the processing center of the trial production institute of China FAW Research and Development Institute. Zheng Fusheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, awarded Yang Yongxiu the appointment letter of "College Student Ideological and Political Mentor", and Huang Ying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, awarded him the appointment letter of "Part time Graduate Student Guidance Teacher".
This young post-80s "Great Nation Craftsman" introduced and shared the growth path of "Great Nation Craftsman" from six aspects: academic will, career positioning, skill development, innovation and creation, striving for development, mission and ideology. Master Yang grew up in a poor and difficult family, but he always worked hard to pursue his studies. He did not give up his dreams due to his failure in the college entrance examination, devoted himself to research, pursued technical excellence, and stood out as a top skill master. He is a role model for teachers and classmates to learn from. His every word and sentence, although simple and unadorned, exuded infinite charm and received rounds of applause from the audience. At the end of the report, Master Yang also went to the machining center training room to have technical exchanges with the teachers at the training center.
